Directions/Parking
3000 Connecticut Avenue is directly across the street from the National Zoo. The building has two entrances. The entrance to the building that is closest to my office is the entrance directly next to the Starbucks (to the right as you face the building from the sidewalk). You will need a code to enter the building, which I will provide you in advance of your appointment.
Metro
If you will be taking Metro (recommended), the closest Metro station is the Woodley Park Station on the Red line. At this station, take the elevator exit at the north end of the station, which will put you at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road at the street level. From there walk north on Connecticut Avenue (slight uphill) about two long blocks on the left-hand side (the same side as the Metro elevator).
Parking
If you will be driving, please note that parking on Connecticut Avenue, while the most convenient, is not allowed between 7:00 and 9:30 a.m. and between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. (during morning and evening rush hour, respectively). Outside of these hours, parking for up to two hours is available and typically fairly easy to find.
Parking for up to two hours is always available on the side streets both north and south of the building. Parking on the west side of Connecticut Avenue can be sparse. However, there is almost always parking available on the east side of Connecticut Avenue on Cathedral Street (the first street south of the building and Zoo entrance).
